Omega-3 & Cataracts

 In Uncategorized

Many studies have suggested that supplementing your diet with Omega-3 has eye health benefits. A recent study shows that higher dietary intake of omega-3 may actually decrease the risk of a nuclear cataract. The Blue Mountains Eye Study, published in the American Journal of Ophthalmology in June 2007, researched 3,654 people over a five-year period. The study concluded that the 5-year risk of a nuclear cataract is lowered when people have a higher dietary intake of omega-3.
